Monticello Steps Up For Young Boxers

The International Boxing Academy of Monticello was in trouble. They had a boxing show slated for Sunday, August 7 and unfortunately something happened and they lost their venue for the fights, but a call to Monticello Casino and Raceway ended their frustration

.

“After an inquiry from Ray Sheenan telling us he lost his venue for the fights, we settled his problem when we offered the third floor of our grandstand for their boxing matches,” noted Cliff Ehrlich, Monticello Casino and Raceway President and General Manager. “We are community minded and we want to support the youth in our region.”

The youth boxing matches will be presented at the Raceway on Sunday afternoon August 7. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m.. Ringside seating calls for a $15 donation while standard seating calls for a $10 donation. The event is sanctioned by USA Boxing Metro. For further information, please contact Ray Sheenan at [email protected].
