Updated: Fred Hutton Passes
Trot Insider has learned that horseman Fred Hutton of Penticton, B.C. passed away on Saturday, July 23
. He was 82.
Hutton was cremated and his family will be holding a private Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 30.
"I would be more than happy to read out any condolences from his old friends at the track," Hutton's granddaughter, Caley Fraser, told Trot Insider. "If anyone has any humorous stories of the racing days, or little anecdotal stories, I would love to have these shared with us. Gramps and Grams were always fond of the track days, and us grandkids have fond memories of hanging out in the barns and trackside."

I am saddened to hear of Fred's passing & wish to pass on my condolences to the family.He truly was a great fellow & a real friend of harness racing. I have fond memories of Fred from back when he was in Alberta & thoroughly enjoyed our "B.S." sessions while I was around the Cloverdale track in the mid nineties.RIP , my friend.
