Striking Impulse N Passes

Trot Insider has learned that Queensbury Downs track record holder Striking Impulse N passed away at the

age of 25.

Striking Impulse N was imported from New Zealand in 1993 by former Swift Current, Saskatchewan residents Sam and Nancey Taylor, who now reside in Lucan, Ontario. The chestnut son of Striking Force-Dark Duchess set the Queensbury Downs track record of 1:55.3 in an Invitational Pace on October 22, 1993 with Al Brooking at the reins.

Striking Impluse N also raced at Stampede Park, Northlands Park, Assiniboia Downs and Sudbury Downs throughout his career. In 2000, he was retired with a record reading 23-17-6 in 78 starts and over $70,000 in earnings.

"Sam and Nancey imported him from New Zealand in 1993 and we saw him this spring when we visited them at their new farm," Carole Dunbar told Trot Insider. "He sure was much loved and always had the best of care."

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Striking Impulse N.
