'Racin' Wins Preferred; Five For J-Mac
A step up the class ladder proved to be no problem for Chasin Racin in Thursday’s $13,000 Preferred at Rideau Carleton Raceway

The newly acquired five-year-old son of The Panderosa-Contrapan was a going away winner in last week’s debut for trainer Andrew Moore, and he stepped up his game and his speed when asked to take on tougher company in Thursday’s follow-up assignment.
In rein to John MacDonald, who celebrated a five-win night at the office, Chasin Racin marched to the top and successfully chopped out panels of :26.4, :55 and 1:24.3 en route to the 1:52.3 triumph over Montreal Phil and Its A Good Thing.
The victory improved his 2011 record to 2-3-1 in nine attempts, and the lion’s share of the purse boosted his overall earnings to $643,466. The pacer was recently purchased by Jamie MacKinley of Clyde River, PEI.
