Bartlett, Stratton Involved In Auto Accident
Drivers Jason Bartlett and Jordan Stratton were involved in an auto accident while Yonkers Raceway-bound
Monday night.
According to Bartlett's wife, Kristen, the car - driven by Stratton with Bartlett as the only passenger - was struck on the passenger side while approaching the Bear Mountain Bridge, about 36 miles northwest of the Raceway.
Bartlett and Stratton were taken to Arden Hills Hospital (Goshen, NY), though it is not known if either would be admitted as of this writing. Bartlett suffered a gash above his left eye which required 12 stitches and Stratton suffered head trauma, requiring staples. Neither lost consciousness and, while woozy, both were moving under their own power.
Obviously, Bartlett and Stratton were off their scheduled drives Monday night, and their return is "to-be-determined" at this point.
Bartlett, the three-time defending local driving champ, began this week second (to George Brennan) with 247 Westchester wins. Stratton sat 10th with 47 wins.
Further details shall be provided once they become available.
