Dunn Debuts In The Sulky At The Big M
Dexter Dunn, New Zealand's 21-year-old leading driver, will make his debut at Meadowlands Racetrack
on Saturday night.
He will be the In The Sulky guest on the Saturday television broadcast, which begins live at 6:30 p.m. on the Paddock Level and online at MeadowlandsRacetrack.com. Fans can e-mail questions for Dunn to answer on-air to [email protected].
Dunn arrived in the United States on Monday to start preparing for the World Driving Championship, in which he will represent his country later this summer. He will drive Cobalt Man for New Jersey-based Kiwi trainer Chris Ryder on Saturday and hopes to pick up additional assignments. Dunn is about to win his fourth national driving championship in New Zealand with a single-season record of 218 (and counting) wins. In his six-year career, he has visited the winners circle 738 times for $7.1 million in stakes.
Dunn is the youngest competitor in the World Driving Championship, the world's richest and most prestigious driving tournament. The series will open at Harrah's Chester (July 31) and visit Tioga Downs (Aug. 2), Monticello Raceway (Aug. 3) and Meadowlands Racetrack (Aug. 4) before concluding at Yonkers Raceway on Aug. 5.
