Truth Or Dare Wires Top Inverness Pacers
Truth Or Dare earned his first victory in Nova Scotia in the $1,300 Winners Over Pace at Inverness Raceway on Sunday afternoon and it was a dominant one
.
The seven-year-old gelding, who has made just four pari-mutuel starts since being purchased by trainer Walter Walker and Kayla Anne Habicht of Inverness in April, took command of the field from Post 1 and carved out fractions of :29.3, :58.2 and 1:28.1 before extending his lead to eight lengths with a :28.4 final kicker. With Ryan Campbell in the bike, the son of Camluck-Virginia Dare stopped the clock in 1:57 for his first win since moving East after racing at Ontario and Quebec tracks for most of his career. Indicator (Alex MacQuarrie) finished second off a pocket trip and Aahm Cruisin (Gary Delaney) was third.
The victory was Truth Or Dare’s third of the year in 14 starts and 29th lifetime, pushing his career earnings to $82,658.
