Youth Camp Positions Filled
The Ontario Horse Racing Youth Camp Committee announced Thursday the successful applicants to co-ordinate and manage the delivery of the very popular Youth Camp program for 2011
.
Stacey Reinsma, who was a member of the Youth Camp team last year, will assume the responsibilities of the Camp Coordinator. Stacey has extensive experience working with children and horses alike. Natalie Elliott joins the team as this year’s instructor; she has volunteered at Youth Camps in previous years and was a participant of the Youth Camp during its initial year. Kenny Ellis will complete the team as the groom of the four Youth Camp horses; his skills and past experience as the youth camp caretaker will provide great value to the team.
The committee thanks all who expressed an interest in the above-mentioned positions.
The horse racing youth camps are offered free at tracks across Ontario during the summer months. Open to children 10-13 years old, the four-day camps offer an interactive opportunity for children to learn about caring for horses and the sport of harness racing.
