Although the semester has ended, Harvey is still hard at work interning for CBS Sports in New York City through the end of August. After graduation, Harvey hopes to turn his scholastic and practical experience into a career in sports business management.
During the trackside presentation, Harvey gave thanks to his parents, Leo and Kathy Harvey, his grandfathers, Hall of Famer Harry Harvey and Walter 'Boots' Dunn, and his aunt, Ellen Harvey, for all their help and support throughout his life. He also was grateful to Gural and Schnittker for providing this opportunity to all the students that applied.
The Dewey Degree Scholarship was initiated by generous donations from Ray Schnittker and Jeff Gural and is administered by the upstate New York chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association. It was named after Schnittker’s great Hambletonian winning trotter, Deweycheatumnhowe.
