Big Bad John All About Routine
After Big Bad John captured his Pepsi North America Cup elimination this past Saturday evening at Mohawk, trainer Ron Potter is afraid to make any changes to his star pupil’s routine…and Big Bad John likes it that way
.
The three-year-old pacer was shipped back to his home in Delaware, Ohio, following his impressive win in 1:50.3. He will return to Mohawk for the $1.5 million final, set for Saturday, June 18.
When it comes to Big Bad John, Potter isn’t willing to mess with a good thing. “He wears a tight hopple, that’s just what he’s always worn. I’m scared to death to let them out,” he laughed during an interview with WEG Media. “We are going to stay with what we are doing.”
It’s Big Bad John’s attitude that has impressed the conditioner the most. “He wants to win so bad every time he goes out there,” said Potter. “He’s got the biggest heart in the world.”
