Ocean Pearl Unbeaten In Five Starts

Ohio Hall of Fame Chip Noble knows that the front end is the place to be if you have the best horse, and that’s exactly where he put Ocean Pearl at the start of the Buckeye Lake Pacing Series at Scioto Downs on Friday night

.

Three-year-old pacing filly Ocean Pearl did the rest as she backed down the middle half-mile, then sprinted away in the homestretch to win by seven lengths in 1:55, a new lifetime record. She is now unbeaten in five starts this season.

Noble trains the On The Attack filly for Sandra S. Burnett of Wilmington, Ohio.

Peeeeyouuuuuuu rallied from far back to claim second place while Pretty Blue Eyes, who had trailed Ocean Pearl from the start, held for third.

Look Lyndsay, trained and driven by Jack Dailey, took the Fillies & Mares Open Pace in a tight finish over pacesetting Shell I Attack and the fast-closing Whats The Hurry. The time was 1:54.2.

Driver Dailey kept Look Lyndsay in the second spot the whole mile until she rallied in the stretch for her sixth win in 11 starts. She’s owned by Edwin C. Price of Cincinnati.

Scioto’s leading driver Dan Noble bagged four more wins on Friday night.
