Manraysonjo Fastest At Fredericton
A racehorse that has stacked up some significant accomplishments is back in the win column. Manraysonjo, a son of Rayson Hanover, has earned several big victories in Ontario during his career
. Now back in his home territory, the six-year-old earned his first win of the season Thursday night at Fredericton Raceway.
Manraysonjo posted the fastest mile of the night at the capital city oval, recording a 6-1/4 lengths victory in 1:58.1. It was a solid accomplishment on a night that featured four sub-2:00 miles on an eight-dash card.
Gilles Barrieau guided the horse to the win, defeating Modern Will and Last Dance. It was the first of two straight wins in the sulky for Barrieau, who also scored with Texas Treasure in 1:59.3.
Stephen Trites also piloted two winners on the card. He was behind Woodmere Sandman, a three-year-old pacing colt, in 2:00.3, and veteran campaigner Ashby Corner in 2:00.2.
Racing resumes in Fredericton next Thursday night at 7 p.m.
