Live, Online Bidding At Adios Sale
Hanover Shoe Farms is pleased to announce that for the first time in the standardbred industry, live online bidding will be offered for horses selling at public auction --- at the time the horse is actually in the sales ring
.
At the upcoming Hanover Adios Yearling Sale at the Meadows on July 29, buyers will have the opportunity to register on Hanover's website, log in during the sale, and bid on yearlings directly from their computers.
"We've always tried to use the latest technology to our advantage, and especially to make it more convenient for our customers to do business with us," said Hanover President Jim Simpson. "We feel the Adios sale is a good spot to introduce the new online bidding option, especially for buyers who just can't make it there on sale day."
According to the farm's IT manager, Jim Harvey, the online bidding will be a very straightforward procedure. Those who wish to bid online need to register using the link on the front page of the farm's website (hanoverpa.com). Afterward, they will be emailed a confirmation and other forms, and will choose a username and password.
On sale day registered users can log in, view the incremental bidding on each yearling, listen to the sale audio, and post their own bid when they choose to do so.
Hanover's Adios Yearling Sale, held on the Friday prior to the Adios Pace, begins at 1:00 p.m. and will feature 31 Hanover-sired yearlings which are all eligible to the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes program.
For more information about the sale, and to request a catalog, visit the farm's website, (hanoverpa.com) or call Hanover at 717-637-8931. Catalogues will be available June 20.
