The seven-year-old daughter of Blissfull Hall held on to win by neck over Modern Star in 1:59.2. Third prize went to Firstline Precious.
Karen Seguin of Putnam, ON holds the ownership papers on the photogenic distaffer who improved her 2011 record to 4-2-0 in nine tries. The 27-time winner has stashed away more than $110,000 in her career.
Trickysmasterpiece erupted for an 11-1 upset in her division for the father/son duo of trainer Jack Wray and driver Scott Wray. The five-year-old daughter of Modern Art got up to win by three-quarters of a length over race favourite Cammie Dare in a time of 2:01.1. Hellas Angel grabbed the show dough.
The top money earnings throughout the preliminary legs will have the chance to line up behind the starting gate for next Sunday’s $19,400 final.
