Tetrick Nabs Five Wins At Pocono
Tim Tetrick punctuated a big driving night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs by guiding Dagnabit Hanover to a dominating win in the featured condition pace on Tuesday night
. The race carried the night’s top purse of $21,000.
The win with Dagnabit Hanover was Tetrick’s fifth and final victory of the night. That matched the highest single-night total by a driver so far at Pocono this season, which was set this past Saturday night.
Leaving from post position No. 5 in a field of eight mares with a condition of non-winners of $21,000 in the last five starts, Dagnabit Hanover, trained by George Anthony, burned out to the early lead. Tetrick guided the five-year-old mare through some impressive fractions in heavy rain, but she was still pacing strong at the finish line to win easily in the slop in 1:52.1, matching a career-best time. Billie Blue Chip finished second and Kates Joy picked up the show.
With the win, Dagnabit Hanover, sired by Allamerican Native and owned by Jeffrey Rose of Brooklyn, New York and Hankook Stable of Fort Lee, New Jersey, now has three victories in 12 tries this year. It was the 18th win of her career and pushed her career earnings to $219,085.
