Peter “The Wolf” Wrenn took on a different role at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino Saturday, April 30. Wrenn ventured to the casino to announce the name of the 'Lil Red Ride' promotion winner following the races

.

Introduced by Ron Parker of Club Centaur Rewards, Wrenn announced the winner of a bright red 2011 BMW 128i convertible and $3,000 in cash. The contest was open to all members of Club Centaur who earned at least 500 points during the promotion that concluded April 17. All entrants were required to swipe their card Saturday, April 30 to activate all their entries and become eligible for the drawing prior to the 10 p.m. drawing. Wrenn announced the winner was Michael Conliff of Wabash, Indiana. Conliff was just a few feet away when his name was announced.

Wrenn greeted Conliff and escorted him to the seat of his new convertible. Conliff, a construction worker, enjoys both the casino and horse racing at Hoosier Park and makes two to three trips to the facility once a week. Earlier in the night, Conliff’s party also hit on a penny slot machine for $1,500, making the entire evening a lucky night for the group.

With more than 8,000 career wins, Wrenn is currently leading the driver standings for the third straight year. The Michigan native relocated to Indiana full time in 2009. He has leading driver titles from tracks across the eastern section of the United States, ranging from Hazel Park in Michigan to Pompano Park in Florida. Wrenn was inducted into the Florida Hall of Fame in 2010.

Wrenn is part of the Celebrity Standardbred Driver promotion at Hoosier Park, which was formed in 2009. It was only appropriate that “The Wolf” would give away the “Lil Red Ride” to the lucky winner.
