Lamoureux Perfect In His Training Debut
Yvon Lamoureux took Sudbury Downs by storm during his training debut on opening night sending out a perfect five winners on the 10-race card

Lamoureux teamed with driver David Dowling, a five-time winner himself, for four victories. Seven-year-old The Panderosa pacing mare The Panductor ($2.50) was an eight length wire-to-wire winner in the second race, his first at the Chelmsford half-miler, giving the duo their first win on the card. Four-year-old Aces N Sevens gelding Lazy Ace ($12.40) also prevailed in his Sudbury debut by half a length in the fifth race. Eight-year-old Dancing Puddles gelding Silk Puddles ($11.90) was a three length victor in his seventh race assignment and six-year-old Apaches Fame gelding Round About Fame ($4) won the very next race by one length.
Driver Mike MacNeill provided Lamoureux with his fifth victory in the next race, guiding 13-year-old Panorama gelding Lombo Skyrider A ($3.90) to a one length victory.
Lamoureux, a 56-year-old Chelmsford resident, is now a perfect five-for-five in his training career with $17,350 banked in purses. All five winners are owned in whole or part by Omer Belisle of Val Caron and Mary Jessica Lamoureux of Chelmsford, Ont.
Dowling also won the fourth race with the Yvon Duclos-trained Maxime D H ($12.10).
