Hambo Hopeful Qualifies At Scioto
Mythical Hall, a sophomore son of Andover Hall, shot to the front at the start of his qualifier at Saturday at Scioto Downs and won easily in 1:59.1 by two lengths

The bay colt was driven in his first 2011 outing by Hugh Beatty for trainer Jim Arledge and owners Thomas York and Joe Sbrocco. The track was listed fast despite earlier rains.
Last season, Mythical Hall won three times in 10 starts and earned $130,133 while winning in 1:57.3 at Chester. He is being pointed at the Hambletonian this summer.
Saturday qualifiers marked the start of the 2011 racing season at Scioto. The meet official opens on Friday, May 13.
Other impressive three-year-old winners at Scioto were the pacing Hare Craft and Integrity. Both sons of Yankee Cruiser won in 1:55.4. Dan Noble piloted Hare Craft while father Sam “Chip” Noble was in the bike behind Integrity.
Dan Noble also won with the sophomore Yankee Cruiser filly Goodnite Lady in 1:56.4.
The three-year-old trotting filly Pinechips Babe led all the way to win her qualifier in 2:00.4 for Ed Greeno, Jr. while the sophomore geldings Future Night Train and Sammy Merlot each won in 2:03.
Scioto will host qualifiers again next Saturday morning.
