More Turns In Dutrow/KY Saga
It has been reported that even though there was a legal 'restraining order' granted in Kentucky regarding the license of thoroughbred trainer Rick Dutrow, the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has refused to allow a pair of stakes horses to race under his name
.
According to a report by courier-journal.com, horses Amen Hallelujah and Court Vision have been forced to race under the name of trainer Justin Sallusto. The former ran yesterday at Keeneland Race Course and finished second in a Grade 1 stakes event.
The article explains that Dutrow entered Court Vision in today's Grade I Maker's Mark Mile, but the commission announced that Sallusto also will be the trainer of record for that horse.
The report has quoted Dutrow's attorney, Karen Murphy, as saying that the move has resulted in a "fraud on the public,” and that she has not yet decided what legal route to take in regard to Dutrow's status in Kentucky.
The KHRC this week denied Dutrow's application to train horses in the state of Kentucky.
