HHYF Seeking Applicants For Camp

The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is seeking applicants for its five-day harness horse day camp at Gaitway Farm, July 26-30, 2011

.The Standardbred training facility is located in Englishtown, New Jersey. HHYF seeks students between the ages of 12-14, as of January 1, 2011

The camp fee is $150 which includes lunches and all camp materials. The camp runs 7:30 AM to 4:30 each day. The event wraps up Saturday, July 30 with exhibitions featuring all participants. Applicants from across the region will be considered, but are responsible for their own transportation to and accommodations in Elizabethtown.

Applicants will work hands-on with the HHYF's stable of trotting-bred horses. Among the topics covered are care and grooming, equipment, conformation, lameness, history, stable management, and equine careers. The camp is one of ten across the country being conducted by HHYF this summer.
