Define The World successfully played a game of “catch me if you can” en route to doubling up in Monday’s $35,000 Preferred Trot at Woodbine Racetrack

Paul MacDonell wasted no time hustling Define The World to the lead from post four, and they led the field through fractions of :27.3, :56.2 and 1:24.4 before kicking home in :29.3 to seal the deal in 1:54.2. Rose Run Hooligan, who enjoyed a ground-saving trip, shot through late to finish second while race favourite Hes A Demon settled for third after making a first-over bid around the final turn.
The win improved the O.S.S. graduate’s 2011 record to 3-1-1 in seven starts, and it was the 27th of his career. Al Libfeld bred and owns the career winner of $1,405,570.
