2010 Symposium Transcripts Now Online

The University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program is pleased to announce the transcripts and PowerPoint presentations from the 2010 Symposium on Racing & Gaming are now available

online. The materials can be accessed through the program’s website (ua-rtip.org) under 'Symposium.'

Nearly 60 speakers participated in over 20 panel discussions during the event, which was held at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Arizona, December 6-9. Among the transcripts available are Churchill Downs CEO Robert Evans’ keynote address, reports from the NTRA’s HorsePAC, a roundtable discussion among stewards and media representatives, and an international simulcasting panel with speakers from seven countries. In addition, two of our panel sessions were also offered as a live webinar, and those video archives can still be registered for online at ua-rtip.org.

The symposium also hosted the NTRA Marketing Summit, Jockeys’ Guild annual meetings and the Harness Tracks of America’s conference.

The transcripts and other media are free to access and use for research. Reporters that wish to use them for publication must contact the UA Race Track Industry Program at 520-620-5660.

The University of Arizona’s Race Track Industry Program offers both a Bachelors and Masters degree program with an emphasis on the pari-mutuel racing industry and hosts the annual Symposium on Racing & Gaming held every December in Tucson, Arizona.
