Merv Kaufman Passes
Longtime harness racing participant Merv Kaufman of Gads Hill Station, Ont. passed away on February 24, 2011 after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 77
.
Merv's activity in the business included trainer and owner, operating under High Standard Stable. Some of Kaufman's standouts include pacing mare Laugh N Dance, Luck O The Dance and Bos Laughin.
Sadly missed by son Dan (Michelle) and daughters Deb (Phil) and Donna (Dan) along with 11 grand-children, three great-grandchildren and his faithful barn dogs Jilly and Bandana.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be finalized. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
