Arctic Warrior Extends Streak To Six In PASS
Arctic Warrior won his sixth consecutive race and posted the day's fastest time among Pennsylvania Sires Stakes winners on Tuesday afternoon at Pocono Downs.
There were five Sire Stakes divisions held on Tuesday at Pocono for two-year-old colts and geldings on the pace. The purse for each Sires Stakes race was $48,858.
Driven by Tim Curtin for trainer Steve Cook, Arctic Warrior won his split in 1:52. It was the sixth straight win for the two-year-old gelding by Blissfull Hall, and it pushed his PASS record to a perfect 3-for-3.
His winning time was just a tick off his own track record for two-year-old pacing geldings at Pocono, which he set in his previous start.
Other Sires Stakes winners on the day were:
Rays Western - 1:52:3
Buckeye Nation - 1:53:1
Gallant Yankee - 1:53:1
Precious Medal - 1:54:4
