Carlson Wins Six At Windsor

Driver Eric Carlson made strong gains in the drivers standings at Windsor Raceway on Wednesday after winning half of the program's races

Carlson narrowed driver Trace Tetrick's lead in the standings to four after guiding home six winners.

Carlson kicked off the 12-race program with a victory aboard Magical Gg ($3.40) for trainer Gord McDonnell. After winning the third race with Deringer Gun ($4.90) for Bart Stimer, the resident of Detroit, Michigan scored a natural hat trick, beginning in the fifth race, with Envy ($4.70) for Greg Cook, Thrill Of Victory ($9) for Mark Jones, and Fully Loaded Gun ($3.20) for Stimer. He then wrapped up his six-bagger in the 11th race with the Paul Holzman-trained Paragon ($5).

Tetrick, who won two races on the program himself, leads over Carlson 44-40.

Carlson enjoyed a career year in 2010, which included 603 trips to the winner's circle and over $1.8 million in purse earnings. He has won 1,334 races lifetime while banking over $4 million.
