Dreamdrop Hanover and trainer/driver Kelly Sheppard recorded their fifth consecutive victory during the Saturday, January 29 card of racing at Flamboro Downs

After having started from the rail in Race 11, Sheppard and the nine-year-old gelded son of Island Fantasy earned the lead past the :29.1 opening quarter mile. After clearing to the front, the duo sliced the middle fractions in :58.3 and 1:28.3 before cruising home in :29.2.

Dreamdrop Hanover’s final margin of victory was three-quarters of one length, and the winning time was 1:58 over a track rated ‘good’ and one second slow.

Earlier in the card, the Jim Wellwood-trained and Scott Zeron-driven Hidden Bounty extended his win streak to three with a half-length victory in two minutes flat.

Even earlier in the program, the Paul MacKenzie-trained and driven Zip The Lip broke his maiden at first asking. The three-year-old gelded son of Ken Warkentin trotted to a half-length victory in 2:03.1 after going off as the post time chalk.
