Campbell & Hoerdt Sweep Miss Onager Splits
Pacers did battle in a set of $4,500 divisions of the Miss Onager Claiming Series, which kicked off on Sunday afternoon at Fraser Downs

Multiflora Hanover drew first blood taking her assignment in a time of 1:58.2 for the tandem of driver Brandon Campbell and trainer Kelly Hoerdt. The five-year-old daughter of Western Hanover rallied to the lead at the three quarter pole and drew off to win by six lengths over Patriot Dream, with Meter Maid another three-quarters of a length back in third.
Hoerdt and Blair Corbeil of Beaumont, AB share ownership on the distaffer, who is now 1-for-3 this season. The 11-time winner bumped her overall earnings to $46,600 in the process.
Campbell, Hoerdt and Corbeil teamed up to take the other division the very next race with Soul N Inspiration, who turned a ground-saving trip into a neck victory in a time of 1:59.1. The four-year-old daughter of Brandons Cowboy tripped out behind Barossa, who supplied splits of :28.4, :59.1 and 1:28.2. Campbell rallied Soul N Inspiration to the lead in the closing strides en route to the narrow score over Barona Hush and race favourite Barossa.
Sent off at odds of 11-1, Soul N Inspiration notched her second win of the season from just three trips postward. She has stashed away $22,425 to date.
The second leg of the series is scheduled for next Sunday at Fraser Downs.
