.

An article on horsetalk.co.nz has quoted England's West Yorkshire Police Community Support Officer Julie Hansord as saying that, "Some of the rugs (horse blankets) have been marked with postcodes and have been secured to the horse with a padlock. However, they are still being removed."

Hansord went on to say, "In particular, I have recently received a report from one of the Bradford Horse Watch members who has had 11 rugs taken."

She has sent out a particular call for witnesses and has said, "It is important that we put a stop to this and ensure the welfare of these horses."
