Moore Sues University Of PEI
According to a report on CBC News, Dr. Ian Moore is suing the University of Prince Edward Island for $250,000 after being denied a six-month leave of absence last fall and then being forced to retire last month
.
The report indicates Moore, who began working at UPEI in 1996, was employed as a contractor for 13 years. Moore applied for two positions in 2010, but the positions were given to younger applicants.
Moore, who claimed UPEI’s conduct was related to his age, is looking for 13 months pay and punitive damages.
