MacPherson Wins Trot Challenge
The first harness racing card of 2011 is set for Saturday, New Year’s Day, at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park

The opener in the 15-dash program will go to post at 1:00 p.m., with the afternoon top class scheduled for a 4:20 p.m. start. Life Savior will try for a repeat. The son of Life Sign--Hannah Banana, who turns six on Saturday, has a chance to win the last feature of 2010 and the first one in 2011.
Hall Trot is the morning line favourite in the afternoon’s trot class in Race 3. Todd Walsh trains and drives for owners Alyssa N Jack Macs Stable of Charlottetown.
The final standings in the Trot Challenge have been released for 2010, with Corey MacPherson taking the title for the second year in a row. The 21-year-old collected 277 points driving trotters at Charlottetown and was also the regular driver of freshman trotting sensation Waiting on a Woman.
Joey Pineau was second with 182 points while Marc Campbell was third with 175.
