Caught on camera, they are all among the top 50 photos of the year, according to Sun Media.
The photo of the standardbred, courtesy of Amber Bracken/QMI Agency, appears as the 45th image in the 50-shot photo slide show.
The shot of the harness horse was taken during a workout on a cold, foggy morning in Edmonton, Alta.
