Meadowlands Racetrack has extended the nomination deadline for its 2011 winter late closers to Friday, Dec. 31

Stakes applications are available under the Horsemen section at MeadowlandsRacetrack.com.

The 2011 harness meet will open Friday, Jan. 7. Post time is 7 p.m. for the Thursday-Saturday racing schedule. The series action kicks off January 13 with the Super Bowl for trotters age four and under (n/w 2 pari-mutuel races or $30,000 lifetime) and the White Ruffles for four-year-old pacing mares (n/w 2 pari-mutuel races or $30,000 lifetime). Each series consists of two preliminary legs and a final.

Applications are also now available online for the spring late closing program, early closing summer stakes and the Meadowlands Pace. Nominations for the spring and summer stakes close Feb. 15, 2011. Horsemen with questions may contact the Meadowlands race office toll-free at 877-782-2537.
