Photo Maxx Tops Dover Trot

Not often do trotters move from the barn of trotting master Jimmy Takter and maintain their form or, better yet, improve on it. Just don't tell that to Photo Maxx.

After a recent purchase and needed some post relief, Photo Maxx came jetting down the outside to overtake front-trotting Starsel and Daryl Bier in deep stretch to score a 1:56.2 victory in the $26,000 Open/Handicap trot. Mike Cole drove the altered son of SJ’s Photo-Affinity to his fourth win of the year for owner-trainer Lauren Allen of Felton, Del., bringing his seasonal earnings to $89,684. Cold Winner with Yannick Gingras was the show finisher.

In a carbon copy finish in the $17,000 sub-feature, Vince Copeland urged William Moffett Inc.’s Good Feeling down the lane to score a 1:57 win, his second straight and sixth of the season. The Quebec-bred Fill V - I Feel Good F gelding has now won $71,729 in 2010. Luvyabutleave (Brad Hanners) led until the late going. Batalj Launcher (Eric Goodell) took third.

Ross Wolfenden led all drivers with a triple. Corey Callahan, Jim Morand, trainer Les Givens had two wins each while owner-trainer-driver Roger Plante also had a double.
