A reminder to O’Brien Award voters that completed ballots are due today (Friday, December 17) by 5:00 p.m. (EST) at Standardbred Canada

A total of 74 people have the privilege of voting for the O'Brien Awards and include media people who cover harness racing on a regular basis across Canada, including writers for the various trade publications, as well as those in print, radio and television. All Canadian race secretaries, track publicists and simulcast hosts also participate in the voting.

The finalists will be announced on Tuesday, December 21.

The O’Brien Award winners will be announced and honoured at the annual awards banquet on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel in Mississauga.
