Race 4 – 7, 1, 5

7. Mi Amada – She has finished second in four of her last six starts and is due for a victory. Ideally I would like to see her get covered up and find room late in the mile. I don’t think Post 7 will play against her.

1. Rub N Tug – Finished third in the same event last week that Mi Amanda was second in. I’m sure Waples will use Post 1 to his advantage and position her near the front. There is no standout in this event, it seems wide open.

5. Warm Waffles - The only reason why I’m including her is because of the trainer change. Coleman was a great reputation of sending out winners in their first start under her care. She has enough talent to get the job done tonight.

Race 5 – 1, 3, 6

1. Short Iron – Trainer/owner Dan Legace jams Short Iron into a $15,000 claiming event and has been given Post 1. If he stays at the 7-2 morning line, he’s a good investment. I’m not saying he’s the winner tonight but he’s shown the most consistent miles compared to his rivals.

3. Pile Driver JT – Knows how to win, especially after posting four victories in his last six efforts. I’m aware that those victories were not on this circuit but he’s on a hot streak and that could continue tonight. He will be near the front in the early stages, no question.

6. Caries Credit – Has shown that he’s very competitive at this level. Last week he was hard used to the front and was tired at the end of his mile (31-second final quarter). He’s usually near the front but if Waples can conduct an off-the-pace effort, he will be in contention.

Race 6 – 2, 4, 7

2. Touch Of Kathryn – Will be the likely favourite after posting the fastest elimination time. This race will come down to trip as there are four or five horses that could win this race. She has won her last two starts, so she couldn’t be coming into this race any better.

4. – Tymal Dalia – Finished second in her elimination last week but I look for a stronger performance tonight from her. She seems very versatile which could play into her favour tonight if there is a front-end battle.

7. – Ella V Horse – You can’t overlook her eight wins this season. She ran out of real-estate in her elimination last week, otherwise she would have won. Post 8 could be a factor as I imagine many horses will be looking for position early. If she’s positioned well early in the mile, she has just as good of a chance as any of them.

Race 7 – 4, 9

4. Rub Thing – She got the jump on Rebeka Bayama at the top of the stretch last week. The same thing could happen tonight, especially from a Post 4 start. Hudon handles the lines tonight and will likely send her to the front.

9. Rebeka Bayama – You can’t overlook her 1:49.4 lifetime best. She is highly thought of by her connections and has enough talent to be a top WEG performer. She doesn’t have the best gate speed which will once again play against her tonight. If she doesn’t get away too far back, she will be there.
