McGee passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 7 following a battle with lung cancer.

He was 75 years of age.

Ronald Douglas McGee
(March 13, 1935 - December 7, 2010)

At Alexandra Marine & General Hospital on Tuesday December 7, 2010. Ronald D. McGee of Goderich in his 76th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean (Houze) McGee (2000). Dear father of Larry (Sue) of Goderich, and Catherine McGee of Waterloo. Special friend of Ruth Mitchell. Also survived by brothers Alvin (Bertha) & Ken (Sylvia) McGee, and sister in-law Donna McGee. Predeceased by brother Leonard. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Ron was born into the car business along with his three brothers. In 1978 he went on to pursue a life long dream with harness racing. and worked as a judge with the Ontario Racing Commission for the next 20 years. He then went to work in his brother Ken's Auto Literature Shop until his passing. He was also an active member of the Goderich Lions Club. He will be missed by the many people he touched, he always had a good story to tell and a good laugh to share. Visitation will take place at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home 11 Cambria Road North, Goderich on December 9, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on December 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Spring Interment Maitland Cemetery. Donations may be made in Ron's memory to the Huron County Christmas Bureau or the Goderich Lions Club.
