Wilmot 'Wim' Brethour Passes
Trot Insider has learned that veteran horseman Wilmot 'Wim' Brethour of Sunderland, Ontario passed away Tuesday, November 23. He was 80
.
The first three letters of Wilmot’s name combined with the first three letters of his brother Lorne’s name were used to create the name Willor Farm - a name which was synonymous with racing in Ontario.
Wim was survived by his wife Lorna, daughter Kim Fair of Sunderland, son Fred (Fran) Brethour of Bexley, brother Lorne Brethour of Sunderland, sister Eileen Debnam of Sutton.
Visitation is at the Thorne Memorial Chapel, 98 River Street, Sunderland, Friday, Nov. 26 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service from St. Andrew’s United Church in Sunderland on Saturday, Nov. 27th @ 1:00 p.m. with Interment to take place at St. John Cemetery in Brock Twsp.
