No Rock 'N Roll Tattoo For Horse

It is very common for horses to be freeze-branded or tattooed for identification purposes. It is not very common to see a horse tattooed for the love of one of the world's greatest rock 'n roll bands

.

According to a report by Agence France-Presse, a German court has recently ruled that it would be illegal for the owner of a white pony to tattoo the Rolling Stones logo on the right hind thigh of the animal.

The pony's owner had apparently already shaved a large area and pre-tattooed the outline of the tongue, 15 square centimetres in area.

The court stated that, "The tattooing of a warm-blooded vertebrate contravenes animal protection laws" which "forbids causing an animal pain without reason."
