Five-In-A-Row For Frances Lil

After reeling off three consecutive wins at Northville Downs in Michigan, pacing filly Frances Lil arrived at Woodbine on November 11 and extended her winning streak to four-in-a-row

when she stopped the teletimer in 1:55.3. She returned on Thursday and turned in another 1:55.3 score to push the winning streak to five.

Trained by George Ursitti and catch-driven by Sylvain Filion, Frances Lil rolled the field through panels of :27.4, :57.1 and 1:26 before kicking home in :29.3 for the 1:55.3 triumph. It was 2-1/2 lengths back to runner-up Wish Away and third-place finisher Windsong Goldie.

The three-year-old daughter of Admirals Galley, who is owned by Sam Abdoo of Grosse Point Woods, Michigan, was unraced as a rookie but she has managed to put together an impressive record of 8-2-2 from the 27 starts she has made this season. She has banked more than $22,000 along the way.
