Ron Pierce was forced to call an audible with Not Enough when a foe they were following made a break, and the backup plan worked to perfection in Monday’s $26,000 Fillies & Mares Open Handicap at Dover Downs

Not Enough was parked past the quarter and the half-mile poles while sitting on cover behind Pacific Philly, but when that rival miscued shortly after the mid-way point Pierce was forced to send Not Enough three wide in a bid for the lead.
The four-year-old daughter of Grinfromeartoear muscled her way to the top just before streaking past the three-quarter pole 1:23.3, and she summoned up a :29.2 final frame which was enough to earn her the 1:53 decision. It was three-quarters of a length back to runner-up Omen Hanover and third-place finisher Spoiled Beach.
