Three For Rossridge Fortune, Uppal and Clark

Rossridge Fortune extended her winning streak to three-in-a-row for trainer/driver Keith Clark in Sunday’s $10,000 Fillies and Mares Open at Fraser Downs

Clark sprinted to immediate command from post seven with Rossridge Fortune, and once on the lead she successfully ripped through fractions of :27.2, :57 and 1:25.1 before stopping the teletimer in 1:54.1.

Her :29-second final quarter earned her a 3-1/4 length score over even-money favourite Lickcreek Jazzy (Ed Hensley), with Second Fancy (Don Monkman, Jr.) another 3-3/4 lengths in arrears.

Clark of De Winton shares ownership on the three-year-old daughter of Brandons Cowboy-Whippet with Robert Jones of Slave Lake and John Hind of Calgary, AB. The tally was the sixth of the season and the eleventh to date for the career winner of $145,153.

The victory was one of three training and driving scores on teh card for Hall of Fame horseman Keith Clark. He also visited victory lane with Oblivious Boy (1:53.4) and W Jean (1:54.2).

Casandra Uppal put on a training clinic on Sunday thanks to a three-win performance on the 11-race card. She watched Duel N Die (1:54.2), Red Star Brooklyn (1:56.1) and Red Star Felix (1:54.4) make trips to the winner's circle for driver Ed Hensley, and in doing so she watched her UTR sail well over the .400 mark in 2010.
