Byron Sweeps All Saints Second Leg

The All Saints Claiming Series continued over a sloppy Georgian Downs racetrack on Saturday night with a pair of $9,000 second leg divisions and driver Aaron Byron was in the sulky for both wins

.

Favourite Lulus Boy ($3.70) and Byron went gate-to-wire to capture the first division in 1:56.2 by four and a half lengths for trainer Dave Matson and owner John Foran of Newmarket, Ont. Willing To Win (Tony Kerwood) and Warbucks (Paul MacKenzie) finished second and third. The three-year-old son of Art Major-Ddi notched his third win in 28 starts this year.

Byron also clicked with first leg winner Top Of The Morning ($4.60) for trainer Mike Sinclair and owner James Ruhl of Tara, Ont. The three-year-old gelded son of Cams Card Shark-Converging Spirit converted from the pocket to win in 1:55.4 by one and three-quarter lengths. Pacesetter D J Adonis (Mike Langdon), also a first leg winner, was second and Made To Glide (Pat Hudon) finished third despite making a break at the end of the mile. The win was his seventh in 29 starts.

The series is open to pacers that are non-winners of $30,000 lifetime as of September 15, 2010 (no allowances), racing for a price tag of $12,000. The $30,000 (added) final is set for next Saturday, Oct. 30.
