Former Police Chief Reflects On Racing
Horse owner and former police chief Bob McEwen is looking to get out of the horse racing industry, and in a recent article in Sault Ste. Marie This Week, he offered a quote which sums up the way a lot of horsepeople view the industry
.
"The average guy in our sport measures his success by how little he loses," McEwen was quoted as saying. "When you hit a good one (get lucky and have a good horse), that makes up for what you spent all your life. I never hit one that big, but we had some nice horses."
