Snow White Delivers In Del Miller
Snow White answered some of the questions surrounding her by turning in her most impressive performance so far this year to capture Friday's $300,000 Del Miller Memorial at the Meadowlands.
When the gates opened, Diana Hall (Ron Pierce) fired from Post 10 and made the front over No Pain No Gain (Dave Miller) in :27.3. Her lead, however, was short-lived as Snow White was on the move from fifth for driver John Campbell and the Self Professed – Moms Millionaire filly seized command at the :56.3 half.
Once on the lead, Snow White cruised to the three-quarters in 1:24.4 and then began to widen her cushion down the lane. She trotted strongly to win by three and a quarter lengths in 1:54. No Pain No Gain finished second while Diana Hall stayed for third.

"I was just waiting for them to get settled and see what the pace was like. If they had of kept moving along, I'm not concerned coming first-over with her, she has won lots of races that way. When it slowed up and I was sure to get to the front, I brushed her to the lead and she did the rest. I had to be careful with her in the last turn," said Campbell. "She has improved dramatically from her first start. She doesn't get tired. She has a tremendous set of lungs on her."
"I'm glad it's over with. Not everything has been answered tonight. We still have some soundness issues that we are working at," said trainer Kevin Lare. "I thought after this week, we were coming in around 90-95 per cent, but after seeing her tonight, I'd say maybe 80-85 percent. She only has beaten herself when she gets beat."
When asked about the chance of entering the Hambo, Lare answered, "I'll be there congratulating Dewey. I'll be in the Oaks."
Snow White ($3.00) is conditioned by Kevin Lare for owners North State Street Stable, Harness The Power and Jerry Silva. After going 11-for-13 last season with earnings of $1,251,151, she is two-for-three in 2008, banking $165,905.
