Records Fall At Markham Fair

It was a day of record performance at the Markham Fair thanks to winning performances by One Lucky Jedda and Idylwood Reba

.

The pacers added their names to the track record book at the half-mile oval, which featured a 10-race program on Sunday afternoon.

One Lucky Jedda broke Georgian Jiffyjane’s track record for three-year-old pacing fillies when she drew off to a seven-length score in 2:05 for owner/trainer Martin Rain of Thornhill, ON and driver Dan Leblonc. The daughter of Sir Luck dictated all the pace en route to the record-setting victory over Gobro Maggie B and Report To Me.

Just three races later it was Idylwood Reba adding her name to the track record book thanks to her 12-length score in 2:01.1 for trainer Tim Bates and driver Dan Leblonc. The six-year-old daughter of Blissfull Hall did all the road work en route to the speedy score over Dragoninthesky and Berts Last Cat. The clocking erased Scooters Clan’s former track standard of 2:04 for older pacing mares.
