Waples Pumped For Milton Stakes
After winning last week's elimination of the Milton Stakes in 1:50.4 for driver Randy Waples, Dreamfair Eternal will be looking to deliver in the $372,000 final beginning from post three tomorrow night at Mohawk Racetrack
The Camluck miss has over $1 million in career earnings for owner/breeder John Lamers. After posting nine victories in her first 12 appearances this year, Dreamfair Eternal failed to find the winner’s circle in three consecutive tries until last week's elimination victory.
"She got a little bit flat for a couple of starts,” said driver Randy Waples. “Then Pat [trainer Pat Fletcher] gave her rest, about four or five weeks off and she bounced back. The other night she went a phenomenal trip, first over and was very strong at the end of it.”
Dreamfair Eternal will also be looking for redemption against Tug River Princess tomorrow night after being defeated in the $376,000 Roses Are Red Stakes earlier this year at Mohawk Racetrack.
Tug River Princess, a five-year-old daughter of Badlands Hanover, accepted a bye into the final based on highest money earned. She will begin from post two for trainer Darren McCall and owners Jerry Silva, Robert Cooper and Let It Ride Stables.
The Milton Stakes final will go to post in race eight with an approximate post time of 9:57 p.m.
