Quebec's 12,000 VLTs To Be Replaced
In a major development in the gaming equipment sector, the province of Quebec has awarded contracts to a pair of companies to replace the 12,000 video lottery
terminals in the province.
According to a report by Harness Tracks of America, International Game Technology of Las Vegas and Canadian-based Spielo are the companies that will be replacing the machines.
Spielo will also provide Lotto-Quebec with a central operating system for the games.
The province will spend $265 million to replace the games, hopefully by 2012.
