David Ratchford’s Silver Dragon took on Northside Downs’ top pacers on Saturday afternoon and for the third consecutive time he slayed his rivals, winning by multiple lengths

In the featured $1,000 Winners Over Pace, Biffle (Ryan Campbell) fronted the field of five through fractions of :28.4, :58.4 and 1:29 before being collared by Silver Dragon and Ratchford at the top of the stretch. The popular son of Dragon Again-Fancy Art kicked home in :29.1 to secure the victory by three and a quarter lengths in 1:58.4 while suffering broken equipment. Pocket-sitter Andro Peanut (Norm Fiander) was second while Biffle finished third.

Silver Dragon has won five times in 29 starts this year and has earned $40,270. The five-year-old gelding now sports 17 wins on his lifetime record with $237,264 in earnings.
