Transcending Clicks For Palone, Burke
Used twice in a wicked :25.4 opening quarter, Transcending nevertheless had plenty in the tank for the stretch drive as he captured Tuesday’s $22,500 Preferred Pace at The Meadows
.
Leaving from Post 6, Transcending was stuck outside for much of the first panel before finding a seat third along the pylons. Dave Palone had him out and moving again before the quarter pole, and the six-year-old son of Grinfromeartoear-Apopka Denise wasn’t challenged seriously once he made the front. He scored in 1:50.3, a length better than Fox Valley Armor, with the first-over Drumfire A third.
Ron Burke trains Transcending, who now boasts lifetime earnings of $351,080, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, JJK Stables and Larry Karr.
It was one of Palone’s six victories — three for Burke — on the 13-race card.
