Stakes Action at Holland Fair
Manitoba's Holland Fair hosted three $3,067 divisions of the Golden Boy Stake for three-year-old pacers and one $7,241 Silk Lace division for sophomore pacing fillies during their Saturday card of harness racing.
Bob & Arlene Ross's standout filly Finders Keepers (Pants With Me – Donnor Duffy) and driver with Ed Tracey stepped to a lifetime best 2:03.1 score in the single Silk Lace division, besting Finest N Fastest (Dean Rey) and Charms Luck (Darryl Mason).
Tracey and the Rosses came back in the next race with There Goes Andy (Goalie Jeff - Jackie The Dream) and crushed their foes by 17 lengths to capture the fastest of the three Golden Boy divisions in 2:01.1, with Oakridge Mac Tay (Ron Cullen) and Abbafun (Barry MacNaughton) completing the top three.
The Roland Rey owned, trained and driven Western Abba (Abbatom - Exuberine Hanover) was victorious in his Golden Boy division, winning in 2:04.1, while the Dean Rey trained and owned Gates Hero (Gates Brown - Goddess Of Love) and driver George Isman scored a 2:03.4 victory in the third split.
